Cortina Inn and Resort is located in the heart of the Green Mountains of central Vermont, near the world-famous Killington Ski Resort.  The Inn is easily accessible by car, rail or plane with its location on U.S. Route 4 in Killington.  Most major airlines fly to Logan Airport in Boston with connecting service to Rutland, Vermont.  Cortina’s airport, bus, and train shuttle offers direct service to the Inn, or rental cars are available at the Rutland/Southern Vermont Regional Airport (15 miles).  Amtrak offers rail service from Penn Station in New York City to Rutland.


Just The Facts:

The Inn is situated on 32 manicured acres with extensive gardens, woods and a pond.  All rooms and public areas are air-conditioned and handicapped accessible. 96 rooms in total,  6 rooms with fireplaces, 6 suites each with fireplace, Jacuzzi, wet bar/refrigerator, walk-in closet and private balcony.  17 open hearth fireplaces some gas, some wood burning,  12 in guest rooms, 5 in public areas 2 reading rooms, over 2,000 books and many magazines.


Motor Coach Tours:
The Resort is host to over 200 senior group tours each year offering full choice of menu dining, great entertainment and step-on guide service with knowledgeable professional multi-lingual guides. Tauck World Discovery stays with us.


Wedding, conference and banquet facilities:

Conference facilities to accommodate groups up to 250 with 5,000 square feet of meeting space.  A full-sized ballroom plus 7 breakout rooms, the Centre Courte reception area accommodates 150.  Complete multi-media equipment available at no charge.  Beautiful gardens and landscaped grounds for outdoor receptions, weddings and family reunions. Our wedding planning department will take care of every wedding detail.


Spa and fitness facilities: 

Fitness equipment plus free weights, treadmills, stair masters, Indoor pool: 22 x 42 foot pool with lap lane, treatment rooms, Multi-person Jacuzzi, sauna, locker rooms and showers. Massage therapists on staff.


Two restaurants: Oscar's Pub and Grille and September's

 

Cortina Staff:

45 full-time and 30 part-time staff, many of whom have been with Cortina for more than five years.

Outdoor recreation facilities:

Snowmobiling: rentals and guided tours available nearby.  Miles of trails to explore.

Sleigh rides: every Wednesday and Saturday.

Skating: on the Cortina Pond nights and weekends.

Hiking:  The Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail is one mile from Cortina’s front door.Maps are available free of charge.

Cross-country skiing: available by shuttle at nearby Mountain Meadows Touring Center.

Snowshoeing:  Guided tours leave from the Inn . Bookings must be made with advance notice.

Gardens:  Cortina’s beautiful gardens are great to stroll through.

Mountain Biking:  Guided mountain bike tours from May to October (van supported), rental bikes and 100 miles of marked trails for self-guiding; lift-served mountain biking available at nearby Killington Ski Resort.

Golf: 15 courses within one-hour drive, including 5(3 championship) within 15 miles.  Cortina offers Golf Packages starting at just $99 ppdo including lodging, breakfast, greens fees and cart rental. Killington’s Mountain Golf School offers 2-day and 3-day sessions that can be packaged with Cortina Inn and Resort lodging and meals.


Fly Fishing:  Cortina and Resort is the home of the Stream and Brook Fly Fishing School offering casting lessons and guided trips.

 

Other: badminton, tether ball, horseshoes, croquet, pond fishing, canoeing 58 area attractions from museums to factory tours, wineries, gondola rides and lake cruises.

 

Shopping: Whimsey’s Gift Shop and the shopping of the City of Rutland and Woodstock.  World-famous Simon Pearce glassblowers in nearby Quechee.  Dozens of antiques dealers within short drive. Art Gallery: artwork of over 100 VT artists on display in the balcony gallery and throughout the Inn: an ever-changing exhibit of art objects, paintings, limited edition prints, sculpture,  hand-blown glass and  hand-crafted items.  Peel Gallery, Chaffee
