Dear Guest,
Surprising, as it may seem to a pet owner, pets sometimes get quite frantic when left alone outside their home environment and can cause considerable damage and commotion. In addition, even the most docile pet can be disturbing to other guests who may have an allergy or past unpleasant experience. You and your pet are important to us. We hope that the following policy is not unnecessarily burdensome to you.
Many Inns and Hotels do not accept pets. We at Cortina Inn have had some problems in the past with pets because of noise or damage to guest rooms, but we do accept pets at a charge of $10.00 per pet, per night, with the understanding that guests will do us the courtesy of following our pet policy.
Thank you,
Aubrey Heidorf

CORTINA INN PET POLICY
Pets are allowed in first floor rooms with direct outside access.
Do not leave your pet unattended in your guest room unless crated.
Bring your pet to and from your room directly through the outside door to your room rather than through the lobbies and other interior public areas.
For walking a pet, there are walking trails and pleasant grounds around the Inn. Please clean up after your pet since all of our guests use the walking areas.
In the event that a veterinarian is required, we can recommend several in the Rutland area that offer emergency service.
A list of recommended kennels and pet grooming facilities that can board animals on a daily basis can be requested at the front desk. (Be sure to bring a copy of your pet’s vaccinations it is required for all kennels and pet sitters). We may also be able to provide a pet sitter with at least 1-week notice.
IF A REFUND HAS TO BE MADE TO OTHER GUESTS BECAUSE OF NOISE MADE BY YOUR PET YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CHARGES.
PET OWNERS ARE RESPONSIBLE AND/OR LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE INCURRED BY THE PET.
